An awesome hike for the beginner or advanced hiker. Oil City to Hoh Head, watch for rocky shoreline just South of Jefferson Cove. Excellent caves, cliffs to explore just North of Hoh Head, South of Mosquito Creek. Low tides only! Beautiful wide beach up towards Goodman Creek (take shoes off, but no problem crossing creek). Toleak Point is awesome, my favorite...bald eagles, seals, rocky islands and fewer hoards of people. Again, bring Tide Charts - without them, you are screwed, let alone wet and sore from climbing over rocks as the waves crash against you. Enjoy the area though...it's great.

The trail was beautiful! Amazing mix of hiking through headlands and on the beach. If you're attempting the trail strictly along the water and not heading inland, the high tides are a big concern. As a beginner, the trail was challenging at times. However, we saw many bald eagles and the views were breathtaking.
