Wonderland Trail

Wonderland Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This trail is well maintained, almost entirely runnable, and incredibly beautiful. You pass through old-growth forests, by waterfalls, and over meadows of wildflowers. Mountain goat herds often can be seen on distant hillsides.

The Fryingpan, Emmons, and Ohanapecosh Glaciers are constantly in view, and the nearby rock formations provide a constant geological study. For the last several years, this high portion of the Wonderland Trail has seldom been free of snow during the July through October period, but the trail is marked so you won’t lose it. There is plentiful stream water along the way that can be treated for drinking."

5 Star hike and great trail run until you get above snow line. This is one of the best hikes in WA and a good trail run, at least for the first several miles.
