Glines Canyon and Smoky Bottom

Glines Canyon and Smoky Bottom Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Experience the rebirth of the free-flowing, undammed Elwha River by hiking the former shoreline and lakebed of Lake Mills. Old-growth forest lines the former lake, and the lakebed itself is regenerating to its natural state, with the help of many hard-working conservationists.

Transformation has been ongoing and rapid since the removal of the Elwha and Glines Canyon dams encouraging repeat visits to witness the wilderness come alive.

Dogs are prohibited."
