Rattlesnake Dance Ridge Trail

Rattlesnake Dance Ridge Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This remarkable route packs an incredible experience in a short distance. The route offers the most spectacular view of the Yakima Canyon twisting its way south from here. Just use caution and keep one eye (and an ear) on the ground in front of you so you don’t end up doing the snake-avoidance jig that gave the ridge its name.

That said, the trail does get frequent use by humans, so the snakes tend to keep a low profile and avoid the heavily traveled trail—still, be cautious especially if you are hiking with dogs. By mid-April most years, the desert flowers are showing their colors."
