The south district of the Mount Tahoma Trails Association (MTTA) network offers spectacular snow recreation, even though you’re seldom above 4500 feet. Although this route is relatively low, you’ll generally find good snow, and great views of impressive mountains and craggy peaks are to be had. From the ridge above Snow Bowl, you can stare north to Mount Rainier, while closer at hand, the dark wall of High Rock stands like a black monolith to the east.
