Skagit (Mostly) Flats Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Because it’s largely sans hills, the Skagit Valley—that amorphous area bordered by the Chuckanut Mountains to the north, northern Puget Sound to the west, Interstate 5 to the
east, and Fir Island to the south—is popular with cyclists, especially the hill-phobic variety.
This 51-miler does its best to be as ?at as possible, gaining only about 1300 feet, much of that on a 10-mile loop around the Swinomish Reservation, across the channel from La Conner. (Skip that part and you have a 40-miler that gains only about 800 feet.)"
