Road 2087 Falls Creek

Road 2087: Falls Creek Professional Review and Guide

"On foot, cross pretty Falls Creek on an old moss-covered, wooden bridge where the road becomes Road 2087. This road is grown over with alder, devils club, and raspberry bushes in many spots. After hiking through brush for a few minutes it opens up in places for easy, gradual uphill hiking or biking. At 0.6 mile from the bridge, the old road is washed out in a gully and the view opens up to the east. There is a beautiful view of Mount Pugh, jutting up from behind a ridge, elevation 1800 feet.

Going on, the trail switches back to the right at 1.7 miles just before coming to a creek. I went 75 feet past the switchback and the trail disappears in a washout containing blowdowns. I did not find the trail beyond this point. I do not recommend going on unless you can find where the trail continues."
