Road 2065: Copper Creek Valley Professional Review and Guide
"I walked up Road 2065 on a cloudless day in July, when snow still lingered on many of the visible peaks above tree line, and the shade on the road was a blessing. The shade was also a problem—this particular road, hemmed in by mature second-growth forest, offers no real view for the several miles it takes to gain the end of the trail, although it is surrounded by beautiful ridges and peaks.
The area does offer several attractions, however. It is low enough in elevation to be available in all but the snowiest months, and there are several campsites (one alongside a swimming hole) that do not show signs of much recent visitation. This small, quiet valley also ends in wilderness, to which this trail gives access."
