North Mountain

North Mountain Professional Review and Guide

"This out-and-back ride is 13.6 miles long. The ascent to the summit of North Mountain involves mostly easy pedaling. The climb is on a nicely graded gravel road in good condition. Near the top, the road gets steeper and a little rougher.

A lookout tower at the summit of north Mountain gives you one of the finest vantage points in the Pacific Northwest. Prominent features to the southwest are Whitehorse Ridge and Three Fingers. To the east lie the Sauk Prairie and the Sauk and Suiattle Rivers. On a clear day, you can see Mount Baker, the Olympics, and Puget Sound."
