Buck Creek

Buck Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Situated on the western boundary of the Glacier Peak Wilderness, this campground is on Buck Creek not far from where it flows into the Suiattle River, which drains Huckleberry Mountain and Green Mountain.

The real attraction, though, is the nearby wild and woolly Suiattle River and the steelhead that it hosts. Campground conditions are primitive, but then so is the wilderness. Call the Darrington Ranger District (360-436-1155) for current conditions; there are occasional road washouts in winter and this area has recently been heavily damaged by flooding."
