Mount StHelens McBride/Kalama Loop

Mount St.Helens: McBride/Kalama Loop Professional Review and Guide

"This popular route skirts the base on the southwest side of Mount St. Helens and is frequently used by horseback riders. Its trail, thick and mucky along the river, climbs steeply to meet very deep and sandy singletrack.

Although it is not a long loop, the ride is quite fulfilling. The trail leads into the woods and around McBride Lake through prime Sasquatch-viewing territory, so keep your eyes peeled for big, hairy men (not to be confused with your riding partner)."
