Mount StHelens Blue Lake Ride

Mount St.Helens: Blue Lake Ride Professional Review and Guide

"The route along Blue Lake showcases some of Washington’s most vivid landscapes. Traveling along the still-forested sections of Mount St. Helens, this nontechnical ride keeps to the trees, making a trail that cyclists of any skill level will enjoy —until the descent into Sheep Canyon.

For those new to the sport, take caution entering the canyon. You might have to push your way back up. Pay close attention to the posted signs, as some of the trails are unfortunately not open to mountain bikes."

Did this ride a number of years ago. From what I remember, it wasn't the best ride I've ever done. There is a combination of singletrack and dirt road. After climbing for a while, a singletrack trail crosses a ridge and decends down to a lake or marsh. We didn't go any further due to limited day light. If you are in the area, it's worth doing. But I wouldn't go out of my way for this trail.
