Ape Canyon / Plains of Abraham Out-and-Back

Ape Canyon / Plains of Abraham Out-and-Back Professional Review and Guide

"Highlights: Riding on the flanks of a recently active volcano. Much of this ride is on open slopes with great views of the mountain and surrounding vistas. If you make it all the way to Windy Ridge Viewpoint be sure to check out Spirit Lake far below.

Tread: 18.8 miles singletrack; 4.2 miles doubletrack. Hazards: Exposure as the trail travels very near some large cliffs; riding along a knife-edged ridge; a couple of stair sections that require walking your bike."
