Watson Lakes/Anderson Butte

Watson Lakes/Anderson Butte Professional Review and Guide

"The East Bank Baker Lake Trail (Hike 12) offers an adventure in ancient forests, but for an alpine experience, you can head a few miles east of the lake and hop the line into the Noisy-Diobsud Wilderness Area. A trio of destinations can be sampled in a day, all from the same trailhead."

Anderson Creek Bridge at the south end of Baker Lake Trail #710 was destroyed in the October 2003 flood. The Blum Creek Bridge was rendered useless as the channel of Blum Creek moved to the south side of the bridge after damaging the bridge. At least three other bridges along the center part of the trail near Silver Creek, Ermine Creek, and Mable Grove were also destroyed.
