Scott Paul Trail

Scott Paul Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The trail is named for Scott Paul, a popular Forest Service employee who was tragically killed in a bridge-building accident.

Pass through wildflower meadows, cross the lower reaches of the Easton Glacier moraine—that is, a rocky, bouldery stretch with rushing creeks but also awesome views to Mount Baker and particularly Sherman Peak, Baker’s southside spire. Sherman Crater, just beyond, blew out in the mid-1800s and still steams to this day. A seasonal suspension bridge provides a way across the most rushing stretch of creek."
