Mount Baker Boulder Glacier

Mount Baker: Boulder Glacier Professional Review and Guide

"Boulder Glacier is not only an excellent climbing route, but also an excellent mid-to late-season ski tour because of its challenging approach, good spring skiing, and feeling of remoteness. People who don’t enjoy diversity won’t like this tour.

Geothermal activity near Sherman Crater can result in lahar (snow and earth slide) warnings for this route. Heed these warnings. USFS-mandated road closures sometimes occur here. Be sure to call ahead. Difficulties: High avalanche potential; glacier travel; lahar area; permit/fee area."
