On good tread, start climbing through a windblown forest of lodgepole pine. Visible north through gaps in the forest is Profanity Peak with its inviting meadows. But the bushwhacking involved in getting to that trail-less summit may provoke its namesake from your lips. Stay on the blueberry- and pipsissewa-lined trail instead and enjoy the hike.
