Minnow Ridge Loop

Minnow Ridge Loop Professional Review and Guide

"Experienced beginners who are ready to tackle some serious mountain biking get a little taste of just about everything: a 2.8-mile, moderate gravel-road climb; singletrack rollers that teach the use of momentum from fast descents on the ensuing climbs (gear down before the climb gets steep!); and some wide, rideable switchbacks, drop-offs, whoop-de-doos, and motorcycle braking bumps to hone those technical skills.

The trail surface is generally a firm hard-pack that gets dusty with weather and use. The cupped areas and braking bumps add some technical flavor to the ride. A good sampler platter for the beginner who's ready to do some serious mountain biking. Scenery: Second-growth woods with scattered old-growth ponderosa pines; quick glimpses of the Chiwawa River Valley and Stuart Range."
