Forgotten Trail Loop

Forgotten Trail Loop Professional Review and Guide

"A rugged loop trip along a segment of the abandoned County Line Trail. The Forgotten Trail Loop is a high traverse of the so-called County Line Peaks, a subrange of rocky mountains dividing the Teanaway River and Ingalls Creek drainages, which also form the boundary between Chelan and Kittitas Counties as well as the Alpine Lakes Wilderness boundary.

The loop follows portions of the old, abandoned County Line Trail, a segment of which is called the Forgotten Trail. This is a high loop, averaging over 5,000 feet of elevation, which provides excellent close-up views of the entire Stuart Range. The hike is feasible as a long day hike for conditioned hikers, but it makes for a more reasonable backpack that is far less crowded than many nearby trails."
