Bear Creek

Bear Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The creek is more a series of ponds formed by a healthy population of local beavers. The cool blue pools behind the sun-bleached dams of sticks and logs provide abundant water for a rich collection of ?ora and fauna.

Stunning beds of wild?owers line the creek, great numbers of birds—from tiny nut-hatches to raucous ravens—call the valley home, and signs of critters big and small can be found along the trail. We’ve seen mule deer, raccoons, and the ever-industrious beavers here, and found tracks of bears, bobcats, and tiny deer mice."
