Rainbow Falls State Park

Rainbow Falls State Park Professional Review and Guide

"Hike through some of the last remaining old growth in the Chehalis Valley on trails built by the Depression-era Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Once finished hiking, admire the small cascade for which this park is named.

This little state park on the upper reaches of the Chehalis River has been attracting visitors since the early twentieth century when it was a community park. Once surrounded by thousands of acres of old-growth forest, this 139-acre park contains the only ancient trees left in the region. Rainbow Falls lures most visitors, but the remnant old growth is more impressive."
