Lewis County Historical Cruise Professional Review and Guide

"The rural roads of Lewis County, with light traffic and beautiful scenery, are a bicyclists paradise. Local bicyclists create endless combinations of routes, from flat and easy valley roads to challenging climbs through forest-covered hills. The ride begins at the Lewis County Historical Museum.

The old Chehalis train depot, a grand brick building is the museum's home. Touring the museum gives an overview of the region's history and traditional industries. The Pennsylvania Historic District has 5 blocks of elaborate houses from the "carriage era". The area gives you a feeling for what this mill town was like before the turn of the century. Terrain: mostly flat roads, light traffic, and a few hills."

Trail is generally really great, low traffic routes through beautiful countryside. The Labree road however is gone (under construction, has been torn down) and we had to backtrack about 2 miles and find our own way back to Chehalis. This made us late getting back to the car and was very frustrating. Would be better if an alternate route or two had been shown on the map.
