Though this conical peak is a wellrecognized landmark within the gorge, few folks have actually hiked it. Overshadowed by nearby Dog Mountain in both height and popularity, Wind lacks the famous floral shows of that iconic peak. But its 1907-foot summit, hovering over the Columbia River, does grant some delectable views, and Wind Mountain has something Dog can’t bark about.
