Though this is the highest peak that sits entirely within Clark County, not many hikers find their way to its summit. Shadowed by adjacent Silver Star Mountain, Larch lacks that well-loved mountain’s sprawling flower arrangements—but also its crowds. And while Larch’s summit is marred by towers, the way up is pleasant enough with attractive forests, fields of bear grass, and some pretty good views of Silver Star too.
