"This 425-acre park encompasses 5,500 feet of saltwater shoreline on Hood Canal and 5,400 feet of freshwater frontage on each bank of the Dosewallips River.

There are 4 miles of hiking trails winding up the steep hills that rise from the beach. Among the wildlife to be found here are deer, bald eagles, and a large seal population. An elk herd winters in the park. Fishing possibilities include steelhead trout in January and chum salmon in August."
