Scenic Beach State Park

Scenic Beach State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This 88-acre campground, one of the loveliest in the Washington system, features 1,500 feet of gravelly saltwater frontage on Hood Canal, a nature trail, and great views of the Olympic Mountains. It sits on the bluff in a forest of western red cedars, madrones, and western
hemlocks.

The park also has a very popular large vacation house facility available for weddings and other celebrations, many of which are planned for spectacular sunset views across Hood Canal. Birders should watch for varied thrushes and waterfowl, willow goldfinches, and pileated woodpeckers. Orcas and pilot whales roam the waters."
