Dakota Creek / California Creek

Dakota Creek / California Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Dakota Creek and California Creek both flow into Drayton Harbor just south of the U.S.-Canada border. The harbor created by Semiahmoo Spit is well protected for canoe and kayak paddling.

Its mud flats offer excellent bird-watching, and the harbor provides fine views of Mount Baker and the nearby Canadian peaks. The creeks themselves allow access to amazing wildlife habitat for so urban an area. This is a quiet trip through a riverside community, a mix of majestic old homes and new condominiums that blend well into the picturesque surroundings."
