Galbraith

Galbraith Professional Review and Guide

"The WHIMPS build and maintain the trails on Lookout Mountain (known among local mountain bikers as Galbraith). The trails they build are technically challenging affairs, wandering among big boulders and smaller rocks, root webs and angled roots, drop-offs and log crossings.

They ride them throughout the year; the wetter the conditions, the more challenging the trails. If you can master these trails, you are a technical wizard! Scenery: Privately owned logging area includes clear-cuts and regenerated forest; views include Lummi Island, Portage Island, Orcas Island, and Bellingham."

Great ride, single track for all skill levels. The maps available aren't very accurate so its easy to get turned around so give yourself plenty of time before darkeness falls to find your way out.

Galbraith is the best trail I have found so far in the Whatcom county area. It has trails for beginners and even trails for the experts. No matter what kind of mountain bike you have and what ever type of off road trails you like you will find it at Galbraith as well as much more. And more trails can be easily found near by Galbraith if you want. Plus it is close to Lake Paddon Park. The only thing you must remember to bring a water supply--expecially in the warmer weather.
