Belfair State Park

Belfair State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This 62-acre campground features 3,720 feet of shoreline on Hood Canal. A 300-foot swimming beach abuts an enclosed man-made saltwater basin, controlled by a tide gate. The beaches are sometimes closed to clam and oyster harvesting due to pollution at this end of the canal. Be sure to check with park personnel.

Because of the many arrowheads found during the construction of park facilities, this beach was determined to have been a meeting place for many generations of Skokomish Indians. Two creeks run through the campground, Big Mission and Little Mission; salmon spawn in both during the fall."
