Stevens Creek

Stevens Creek Professional Review and Guide

"A one-hour hike in the southern section of the park leads to two unnamed waterfalls along the same river.

This trail descends rather steeply through woods full of wildlife to reach two unnamed falls. Well marked and well maintained, the trail is easy to follow. The first point of interest comes after only 0.5 mile. A sign marks the river viewpoint to your right (west). Only a few paces more and you stand in a fenced clearing, admiring the first waterfall."

Very nice enjoyable hike. We discovered this trail after our cancelled hike at Paradise (36 degrees) on the way down to lower elevations for warmth. The falls are greatt and we had our lunch on the rocks right at the falls. If you take this hike be sure to continue on for .5 miles and catch the trail of the "Grove of the Patriarchs" Huge old trees and a fun suspension bridge to cross. A great family hike.
