Killington/Pico, Woodstock, & Quechee, VT Professional Review and Guide
"Killington is by far the biggest ski area in New England, stretching 11 miles over seven peaks from West Bridgewater to the west side of the Sherburne Pass, and now including the Pico ski area. Within this vast area there are 200 trails served by thirty-two lifts, including six high-speed quads, a two-stage “Skyeship” gondola, and another new eight-passenger gondola to the highest summit; 250 new tower snow guns cover 70 percent of the 1,182 acres of skiable terrain.
There’s plenty to do even when the slopes are bare. Come in summer for golf, riding, or tennis. Snowshed hosts the Vermont State Craft Fair, Vermont Antiques Show, Vermont Gallery Showcase, and the Sportsman’s Exposition. Woodstock is one of the loveliest towns in New England. Take time to walk around the green and enjoy the beauty of many authentic facades on the houses. There are many great attractions and activities in this fine town. Finally, Quechee Gorge, Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon, rises 165 feet over the Ottauquechee River. Stop for a good view of the gorge from the bridge or hike along the nearby Quechee Gorge Trail."
