Quechee Gorge Trail

Quechee Gorge Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Crowded and touristy? Yes. Worth going anyway? Absolutely—especially if you can time your visit to avoid the heaviest crowds. You may not feel like you’re in the middle of wilderness, but this natural wonder of Vermont is a sight to behold. The gorge is over a mile long and 165 feet deep.

You will have spectacular views hiking on the trail alongside what is sometimes called “Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon.” Kids can look for water running down the cliff walls on the opposite side of the gorge into the Ottauquechee River below. Camping is available at nearby Quechee State Park."

Neat! This is a small 2 mile hike going down a mountain side its steep and easy going down, to find a beautiful unique peice of nature. The hike going back up is great on the behind lol. The trail is very well kept up cause its a known tourist attraction, DO not forget to go on the bridge for the highway and see there also. this place is very popular for suicides!! Just a local word of mouth info.. Kids can handle this trail also and there are bike trails as well.. ENJOY
