Richville Pond

Richville Pond Professional Review and Guide

"Richville Pond and its covered railroad bridge are a real attraction. This shallow, dammed-up section of the Lemon Fair River brims with wildlife. Besides abundant waterfowl, expect to see great blue heron and whitetailed deer, and you might see beaver and otter."

For beginner hikers was good, not to tough. We found plenty of good spots on the shavers ridge trial to set up for the night. The view however was not so great from the trail itself as the trail was to far in the woods. If I was to go back to the same area I would go to the Dolly Sods area or Blackwater Falls. Much better views.

Hard to find the put in. Lots of interesting bridges. Some wildlife including a lot of bird activity. Nearly impossible to find legit camping. Water is a little muddy. Would be wonderful for a long day trip.
