Shelburne Pond

Shelburne Pond Professional Review and Guide

"Shelburne Pond is used by many groups for outdoor education, and with good reason. It lacks development, and its limestone outcroppings harbor populations of several rare ferns and of northern water snakes. you will likely see great blue heron here, and you might see beaver."

Great "Pond" if you want to call it that... It seems more like a small lake. A lot of nice scenery and calm water. The put-in is a little bit away from the parking lot, down a hill. Also, the put-in is a little small, one at a time. Other than that, it was great! They also have walking trails around and fishing.
This is a nice dog friendly trail. I went in mud season and it was muddy, but very nicely taken care of... the risers where well taken care of and balanced. It was a really nice, not so tough, doggy Vermont hike.
