"This ride's general location is Saint Albans. Scenery includes open vistas, rural landscapes, farmland. This is an excellent place for families and beginners. This ride makes use of the improved section from Saint Albans to Sheldon Junction. Because it was originally a railroad bed, the terrain is as flat as anything can possibly be in Vermont.
Closed to motor vehicles, the trail is open to walkers, runners, bikers, horseback riders, snowmobilers, and cross-country skiers. It traverses open farmland and provides views, residential neighborhoods, old buildings, and stream crossings. The scenery is lovely and will give you a true sense of rural northern Vermont lifestyles. Families or beginners can turn around at any point along the way."
