The roads traverse a wide variety of topography, including broad valleys, intimate vales, and densely wooded mountains. Foliage season is excellent along this drive.
The first drive segment, a narrow dirt road in Green Mountain National Forest, is passable only during the summer and autumn months. The rest of the drive is open year-round.
