Mt. Mansfield is the tallest peak in Vermont. Although this trek costs a little money, the few hours spent traversing the ridge provide unparalleled views without the difficult ascent up the mountain, allowing you to enjoy an afternoon exploring Vermont from a unique alpine environment. As the highest peak in Vermont, Mt. Mansfield naturally has amazing views, but this hike also provides a beautiful walk through the alpine environment over rocky slabs for a truly unique experience. Although the mountain is far from wild (television and radio towers adorn the top, and Stowe Mountain Resort ski trails cover the east side), the easy access makes it a great trip for hikers of all ages and abilities.
