Long Trail

Long Trail is a hiking trail in Stratton, Vermont. It is within Big Branch Wilderness, Lye Brook Wilderness, Peru Peak Wilderness, White Rocks National Recreation Area, and Green Mountain National Forest. It is 52.2 miles long and begins at 1,847 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 46.0 miles with a total elevation gain of 10,399 feet. Near the trailhead there is parking. Peru Peak (elevation 3,415 feet), Bear Mountain (elevation 2,231 feet), Stratton Mountain (elevation 3,917 feet), Spruce Peak (elevation 2,041 feet), Styles Peak (elevation 3,373 feet), and Bromley Mountain, the Little Rock Pond Shelter, Lula Tye Shelter, Peru Peak Shelter, Big Branch Shelter, and Minerva Hinchey Shelter shelters, and the Spruce Peak Shelter wilderness hut can be seen along the trail. There are also viewpoints along the trail. This trail connects with the following: Long Trail, Old Rootville Road, Ip Road, Branch Pond Trail and Long Trail.
