Mount Abraham provides one of the finest views along Vermont’s scenic Long Trail. From just over 4000 feet in elevation, the small summit area is just above tree line and is surrounded by a 360-degree view that encompasses much of the state, as well as the high peaks in New York and the rugged mountains of New Hampshire. Beginning from the highest public road crossing of the Long Trail, this 5.2-mile round-trip hike is an enjoyable trek to one of the state’s highest mountains.
