This was a great family hike with spectacular views of the Green Mountains, Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks.

The trail was very well maintained and easy to follow. Near the top there is a caretaker site with bathroom and a reliable water source where the trail intersects the Long trail. A relatively easy ascent to the north from the intersection.

On the top of the mountain they are attempting to reestablish the vegitation so stay in the areas outlined by the rocks.

As a note the Map Source 100K topo has the old trail head and old lower half of the trail. Apparently the trail was moved some time ago but has not been updated in the Map Source 100K topo
