Jamaica State Park Professional Review and Guide
"Don’t even think of coming here without a reservation on one of the river-release weekends. When the West River swells to its banks, the campground at Jamaica State Park swells with whitewater kayakers. If you want to score a site for one of those biannual weekends (one in the spring and one in the fall), you’ll have to plan way ahead. Even for the rest of the year, Jamaica State Park’s campground is heavily reserved. They do take first-come, first-served campers, but open sites can be hard to come by. Do yourself a favor and plan ahead for this one."
