Bill Sladyk Wildlife Management Area Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A short walk to pristine ponds at the top of the Northeast Kingdom.

Think of this hike as a nature walk without the frills. No interpretive guides, no trail signs, no route markers, no blazes, no help if you get in trouble—just a broad path to wilderness ponds at the top of the Northeast Kingdom, easily accessible to hikers equipped with map and compass.

Remember, though, the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department manages this 9,500-acre preserve for its fish and wildlife, not general recreation. Be mindful of the season when you venture into these woods."
