Bald Mountain-Townshend

Bald Mountain-Townshend Professional Review and Guide

"Hidden between the Connecticut Valley and the Green Mountain National Forest, Bald Mountain and Townshend State Park quietly draw visitors to an unsung pocket of Vermont.

Part of 856-acre Townshend State Forest, this diminutive summit and decidedly quirky trail add just the right measure of family adventure to an inviting destination. A unique summit, spacious campsites, a huge covered bridge, play areas,
and a sandy beach a short way down the road guarantee all members of the family plenty of weekend fun."

This hike had very little payoff. The views from the summit were weak.
