Waynesboro Ramble Professional Review and Guide
"The Waynesboro Ramble takes the cyclist through the far eastern reaches of the spectacular Shenandoah Valley. Starting in Waynesboro, whose motto is “Hospitality in the Valley,” the route takes a long, gradual climb out of the city on its way to the base of Calf Mountain and the Blue Ridge. Circling around smaller Ramsey Mountain, the ramble rewards the cyclist with a beautiful and gradual run down to the South River.
Circling through several small Augusta County villages, the ramble brings the cyclist back through the quaint and easily manageable downtown shopping district, where the city’s hospitality can be experienced. Terrain: Gently rolling. One short, steep climb in the city, then one long, gradual climb to Calf Mountain, will challenge beginners."
