Blowing Springs Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This Forest Service campground is located in George Washington National Forest and is a rustic location. The name “Blowing Springs” refers to an unusual geological occurrence: Air is blown out of the rocks through a duct that has formed, and it is always measured at 58 degrees.

There is a hiking trail a little over 1 mile long, and fishing is available in Back Creek. It is stocked with trout, and you must have a valid state fishing license. In addition, you have access to trails that lead to swimming holes, a unique find in a campground."
