First Landing State Park

First Landing State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"First Landing State Park is the most visited state park in Virginia with about a million visitors each year. Its history and proximity to major tourist attractions account for this, as well as its beautiful location.

The park sits on 2,888 acres and has more than 1 mile of beach frontage with swimming available right there in the Bay. Watch for egrets and osprey, birds that are denizens of this type of
environment. You can fish or go crabbing from an area called the Narrows, located between two smaller bay areas. Within the park, choose from nine different trails offering 20 miles of hiking. Bald Cypress Trail is accessible to people with disabilities."
