Bald Cypress Trail, Virginia Beach Professional Review and Guide
"First Landing/Seashore State Park is an ecological jewel in the midst of the heavily populated northern part of Virginia Beach. Almost 20 miles of trails wind through 2,800 acres of maritime forest, bayfront beaches, and cypress swamps that contain 500 species of plants.
A small visitor center includes exhibits on the geological history, plants, and animals of the area. Other amenities include campsites, rustic cabins, a picnic area, and a boat ramp.
Special attractions: Maritime forest, cypress lagoons, animal and bird habitats."
