Prince William Forest Park

Prince William Forest Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This huge nature preserve provides a wonderful habitat for plants and wildlife. With 37 miles of hiking trails, there are easy and challenging routes to appeal to a wide range of hikers. This 6.2-mile hike offers a nice mix of terrain, including some wide-open roads as well as narrow pathways that overlook stream valleys.

The most scenic section is along the Quantico Creek (along the South Valley and North Valley Trails). To shorten the hike, make it an out-and-back excursion along these two trails. The park also offers bicycling, fishing, camping, and ranger-guided programs."
