Raccoon Branch Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Located in the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area at the base of Dickey Knob, this park also offers streams running through it: Dickey Creek and Raccoon Branch. Fish for trout in the creek, but it will require a fishing license.
To reach the top of Dickey Knob, follow along the Dickey Knob Trail either by foot or by bike. Once there, you will have a view of the valley. The park is close to the Appalachian Trail, so you can hike a section while you’re here. Free WiFi is available at campsites that have electric hookups—a unique extra that you don’t find many places, which is just as well if you’re trying to take a relaxing break. RV friendly."
