"Loudoun County's Regional Park is chock-full of outdoor activities, including some protected nature preserves. Located on the Potomac River, the trail consists of shoreline strolls, forested paths, and wetland navigation.

Algonkian Regional Park is one of Loudoun County’s best-equipped outdoor recreation areas. Among the 838 acres of adventures, there is much to do year-round, from golf and tennis to boating and fishing, as well as semi-wheelchair-accessible hiking trails. The park rents cabins overlooking the Potomac River, so you could make a weekend of it."
